About the course
This course will enable you to explore a range of mediums and allow you to experiment with materials and processes to develop your visual language as well as improving your skills and building your confidence. Through a series of three 10 week interconnected ‘blocks’ you will have the freedom to explore your creativity and get to grips with your visual language using a combination of methods and processes. Each ‘block’ will enable you to develop your understanding of different skills which you will apply to the production of both developmental work and as a stand alone project. Choosing to take part in each separate block will enable you to build on those skills and help you to create a portfolio of work, employing a range of processes which will showcase your development. The flexibility of the course will give you the freedom to choose what you learn. If you are considering studying an Art or Design based course but have no experience or want to refresh your skills, this course will help you to build up your portfolio and will introduce you to the contextual detail which helps to inform practice. If you want to start a creative independent business this course can help you to build up the skills you need and will include an optional pathway for considering how you would create an online presence to market your creations. If you just want to spend time with like minded people experimenting with materials in a safe and supportive environment to help wind down after a long day this course is also for you!
