About the course

Mindfulness can reduce feelings of stress and anxiety through developing and practising mindfulness techniques in the workplace, whilst working remotely, and in a persons life. Managers and leaders can support the workforce in embedding mindfulness activity in the workplace culture, and, now, particularly, in these unprecedented times, where mental strength, resilience and emotional intelligence are the key human attributes that require maintenance for positive well being, and in turn sustaining a productive workforce, business, company and organisation. This online virtual course runs every Thursday evening 6-8 for 6 weeks and will combine theory with practice, with a variety of teaching and learning exercises; all with practical application. We will provide a supporting booklet, which includes wider reading and theory, exercises and resources to take away as part of your conference fee, and a certificate to include in your CPD portfolio. The course objectives are:- • To develop an awareness of the causes and effects of stress and anxiety • To know how a brain develops and reacts to workplace and life pressures, and now, in uncertain times - how to maintain resilience and positive well being. • To know and gain the benefits of mindfulness whilst in the workplace and working remotely. • To develop and practice mindfulness techniques to reduce stress and / or anxiety and creating a positive and productive workforce.

Careers & Progression

The course is for learners / practitioners / business / companies who wish to explore mindfulness as a way to improve the health and mind-set of the workforce in the workplace and whilst working remotely. Participants will develop skills, knowledge and behaviours associated with mindfulness, which in turn, this can reduce stress and anxiety, and promote positive mental and emotional well-being; furthermore creating a culture with a positive and productive workforce.

This online course is held through our virtual google classroom. In order to attend you will require a laptop/ computer or mobile/tablet device with a working microphone and camera in order to interact with the tutor. You will also need GOOGLE CHROME.
