About the course
The Highfield First Aid at Work course is a nationally recognised qualification, designed for those whose role is to be a first aider in the workplace. It is also suitable for people who may have a specific responsibility to provide first aid suitable for those who may volunteer to be an first aider in community activities. The Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations in 1981 require that all employers ensure and make arrangements for employees to receive immediate attention if they were to become injured or taken ill at work. The course runs over a 3 days and all Learners will develop the skills and knowledge to be able to deal with a first aid situation. All learners will learn the following to be able to assess an incident, manage an unresponsive casualty, how to apply CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and many more.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course
Learners will be assessed through 6 x Practical assessments, 2 x multiple choice questions Theory assessments and continuous formative assessment conducted over the three days.
Work book given to the candidate to take away after the training. All practical equipment is supplied.
