About the course

If you are looking to become a fully qualified electrician and want to work in domestic, commercial and industrial locations the City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification is now a recognised route. This qualification provides an understanding of fundamental principles and environmental technologies, principles of electrical science, fault diagnosis and rectification, inspection, testing and commissioning and electrical system design. As a Level 3 course, it is the intended progression route for candidates who have already achieved a relevant Level 2 qualification in Electrotechnical Installations.

Entry requirements

The course is the intended progression route for students who have already achieved the 2365 Level 2. Applicants with electrial knowledge and experience can also apply.

Assessment

Assessment is both practical and theoretical, involving practical assessments and theoretical assessments. It is externally moderated.

Careers & Progression

On successful completion of this course you may progress to an appropriate Adult Apprenticeship or other Electrical Installation courses. Careers that this course may lead to include self-employed electrician, building services engineer or a range of roles in the management within the construction industry.
