About the course

Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) and Gas Metal Welding (MIG). On completion of this course delegates will be able to understand the correct use of the associated welding equipment and understand the hazards associated with the process and the control measures required. They will also be able to apply practical skills on a wide variety of applications, including company specific applications. The training course content will cover Relevant statutory requirements and safe working practices. Principles of the MIG & TIG Welding process. Voltage and current selection Gas types, regulation, application and flow settings. Correct Welding procedures. Types of joints and welding positions and inspection of welded joints, Fault recognition and practical exercises covering a variety of joint configurations. Electrode selection and preparation.
